THE H.M.D. APPROACH
"The home should be the treasure chest of the living."
Le Corbusier
The H.M.D. Point of View
Collected.
Intentional.
Hillside Manor Decor approaches every project as an opportunity to create a home that feels personal rather than prescribed—tailored to its architecture, attentive to the way it will be used, and open to the charm of a well-placed antique, a dramatic textile, or an artwork worth living with.
The result is not a formula. It is a home with a lived-in ease: layered, intentional, and made to grow more meaningful over time.
THE DESIGNER
Sarah A.
Cummings
Sarah A. Cummings is a Pittsburgh native, award-winning American interior designer, and the founder and principal designer behind Hillside Manor Decor.
Serving the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania region, she brings more than 20 years of experience to creating interiors that feel grounded in their architecture and generous in the way they support real life.
Her work is guided by a belief that the best rooms are never simply assembled. They are edited over time: built around the things that function beautifully, the pieces that tell a story, and the details that give a home its quiet sense of character.
Sarah brings a deeply attentive eye to every stage of a project, balancing planning and precision with the warmth of collected furnishings, tactile materials, art, and the unexpected element that makes a room memorable.
